By Eliot A. Cohen, Stephen Hadley, Robert B. Kagan, and Michèle A. Flournoy

In America Grand Strategy in a World at Risk, renowned foreign policy experts Eliot A. Cohen, Stephen Hadley, Robert B. Kagan, and Michèle A. Flournoy offer a comprehensive and forward-looking assessment of the challenges facing the United States in the 21st century. They argue that America must adopt a new grand strategy that is based on a clear understanding of the threats and opportunities of the current international environment.

The authors begin by outlining the major trends that are shaping the world today, including the rise of China, the decline of the West, the spread of nuclear weapons, and the growing threat of climate change. They argue that these trends are creating a more complex and dangerous world for the United States, and that America must adapt its foreign policy accordingly.

The authors then offer a detailed plan for a new American grand strategy. They argue that the United States must focus on three main priorities: defending and strengthening its homeland, promoting economic growth and prosperity, and maintaining a strong military. They also call for a more active and engaged foreign policy, one that is based on a deep understanding of the interests and values of the United States.

America Grand Strategy in a World at Risk is a timely and important book. It offers a clear-eyed assessment of the challenges facing the United States in the 21st century, and it provides a roadmap for how America can meet these challenges and secure its future.
